Rainforest Blend OneCup Coffee

SingleServeCoffee.com Reviews Rainforest Blend OneCup

SingleServingCoffee.com has done another review of our San Francisco Bay One Cups, this time with the Organic Rainforest Blend OneCups.  They recently did review of our Regular French Roast OneCups and of our Decaf French Roast OneCups.

Below are some excerpts of the full article you can read here.

Billed as a medium to dark roast, flavor revealed more cocoa/milk chocolate taste throughout and an almost woodsy character overall which yielded faint oily flavors on the finish. Very mild nutty notes were also hiding underneath.

Body was dark brown in color with shades of red when held in front of a light source. Acidity pushes forward with a mild bite at first sip and slowly continues throughout the cup. Mouth feel remained smooth and gave way to a dark chocolate aftertaste which didn’t linger around for too long afterwards.

More and more coffees are being sourced organically, so it’s nice to see Rogers Family Coffee Company went the extra mile to ensure they ran their coffee plantations the same way.

Tried the one cup coffee packaging and love both the coffe and the delivery system. Are you going to bring the full line of coffees out in this same packaging?

This works perfectly in my K-machine. Even better at altitude than the originals which blow-out when brewed at over 10,000 feet. These “cups” are perfect.

Found your coffee at Costco in the 80 serving box and thought I would give it a try because it was so much less expensive than other brands and it was “French Roast”. Also the history on the packaging made me believe you were a good company worth trying. Your coffee is amazing, love it and like others have stated, works perfectly in my Keurig. I hope you keep supplying Costco with your brand. Every little bit of savings helps today as everything is so expensive.

I first purchased your single serve coffee at my local supermarket because it was a better value than other brands. For years I have been drinking French Roast, but none compare to how wonderful San Francisco Bay French Roast tastes. Each cup is bold and rich with flavor. I’M HOOKED!! These are truly the best single serve cups I have ever had.

I finally found a great French Roast for my Keurig. You guys put out a quality product.
I sure hope you have more choices soon. My husband likes Kona which is hard to find in any brand, and we also like French Roast decaf. Please put me on your email list. I am hooked!

Just purchased your Single Serve coffee at Giant Foods near Reading, PA. The coffee is great and I like that your single serves are more environmentally friendly than Green Mountain Single Serves. Less plastic and still makes a great cup of coffee. One improvement would be if there was a way you can sell them with a zip lock type bag to keep them fresh. I also like to display all the coffee varieties near my coffee machine. Too bad you couldn’t put them in a paper type cup that can be pulled off before placing in a machine. Regardless, you have a nice idea and I will keep drinking your coffee.

I just tried your San Francisco Bay organic rainforest blend which I was delighted to find in the 80 serving box at BJs. I have to say it was not what I expected, even though it said it was on the bold side… it was described as : “Our certified organic, Rainforest Blend is an artful mix of coffees from Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala, and Indonesia that produces a smooth, yet full-bodied taste with lively acidic notes”. If I liked French Roast I probably would have loved this but it was just too “dark roast” for my tastes. I LOVE the packaging and think that other K-cups should follow your environmental lead. I will search your websiste to see if you carry any “regular” roast coffee in K-cups. Maybe BJs will carry them in the future. I love Colombian, and Mexican and Guatemalan coffees… If you don’t already have any of these in a less bold version, I hope you will consider. If you can recommend a coffee of yours that is less bold please let me know.

I also found your product in stock at our COSTCO here in Anchorage, Alaska. It was the french roast style in the 80 serving box at a great price. I tried it out and am hooked on your product. Looking forward to other OneCup offerings at our local COSTCO.

We started on your French Roast coffee when we moved to SF 4 years ago and it has been our morning ritual ever since. I don’t think I could live without your coffee. I have introduced it to friends who have moved away and now they come to visit just to stock up. We bought the One Cup servings at Costco (SF) for work and everyone here loves them. I went to restock our supply last week and could not find them. Are you going to continue to distribute through Costco? Please do! Thanks for your great coffee!

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, Sheila! Costco stores may occasionally run out of inventory: please inquire on its availability within your local store. But we always welcome your purchase on our online store, http://www.gourmet-coffee.com.

I bought your coffee at costco (Phoenix, AZ) I was pleased with the price, a lot better than other brands. The best part is the taste of your coffee, what a great taste. You have made my day, good taste and good price.

I found the your coffee at Costco. I love it. I’m just suprised that not all Costco is selling your product. It is great coffee very strong.

Just “discovered” your “Fog Chaser” One-Cup coffee at my local (06107) BJs Wholesale Club. Home-run! Besides the savings, I liked the flavor and of course the packaging. Now if you could come out with a 1/2 caffeine-1/2 decaf version, my wife would be sold too. She usually only has a single cup in the morning (and sometimes a decaf in the afternoon). Think about it please. While I like my local roasters and certainly the company that started the K-Cup craze, I am not wild about the amount of plastic I dispose of. Mostly at home I am using the re-usable Ekobrew system but at work, I opt for the convenience of the once use packaging.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, Kevin! Nice suggestion: we’re always looking to expand our single serve varieties. Stay tuned!

I just purchased two 12-cup boxes of your coffee at a Wegman’s grocery store. One of the Rainforest Blend and a Foglifter. I am enjoying the Rainforest right now! Excellent coffee. I’m anxious to see how I like the Foglifter.
I was concerned that the One Cup wouldn’t work with my Kuerig (although it said it did on the box). Works as well or better than a K-cup. It seems to me that this design would cut down on land-fill waste (something that bothers me about using my Kuerig). Is this the case?
I am so glad that I tried your coffee brand. I’m hooked!! (and this is coming from a Starbucks lover and stockholder!!).

Like so many of the others we first found your coffee at Costco. The cheaper price was what caught our attention at first so we gave the french roast a try. It’s now the flavor that has us hooked. My wife is a decaf drinker; do you plan to put a a decaf blend in the 80 cup package?
Thanks for the great coffee at a great value,

Like the others have said “We are Costco folks” and tried your GREAT 80 count SF French Roast Coffee, “OUTSTANDING!”. I was getting my 1 cup coffees from Amazon but have now cancelled all of my many future orders. Please do your best to add to our Costco Rogers Family 1 cup coffee line. Love your story, love your coffee and love being your customer…

I pray for your continued success, and a job well done!

Love your French Roast. We have been buying it at Costco in Mpls but last week they did not have it. Would love to see it in Sam’s clubs which is closer to us in Wisconsin. The 80 packs are perfect.

Thanks for taking the time to write, Noretta! You may always purchase directly from us if ever you cannot find it locally. Cheers!

Enjoy your Rainforest coffee very much and I like the way the “K” cups are made. I am very disappointed the local Bi’s and Costco have stopped carrying San Francisco Bay Rainforest Coffee. It was about $10.00 less expensive than the other two brands they always carry which is why I first tried it. I will check your website for where else I can purchase.

I am a coffee hound. I found your coffee at Market Basket and tried it. It is the best coffee ever. I tell everyone I talk to to try it. Fog Chaser is my favorite. I won’t tell you how many boxes a week I drink but its safe to say many. Love love love this stuff!!!!!!!!!!

I have used your one cup French Roast coffee since Costco started to carry it many months ago. Have spread the word and indeed even when shopping with a box of it in my cart, tell those who have a box of another brand about your product andhave had them change to just try it. The lower cost of all others is also a great factor in the change. I hope the price stays down. Love the coffee.
